Just Add Ink challenge #226

Here is my card for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge. It is for a wonderful friend of mine who I am having lunch with today.

Below are the presents that I have gift wrapped. I took inspiration from the Just Add Ink previous weeks colour challenge.

 Here they are all together.

New Memory box dies

Having a play with some of the new dies I have purchased lately.

My favourite has to be this Beloved Stars die, it is just so pretty.I have used it twice here, along with the Cabrini Ornament which I inset in the card front and backed with paper from Stampin' Up!.
This is the Lamp Post die. I cut it twice, once in brown and again in white. I layered the two die cuts up to imitate fallen snow and then added glitter. I have hidden the base of the die with more snow to provide a space for the sentiment. The little bird, stocking and sentiment are from a Papertrey Ink stamps and the mouse is from Penny Black.

Pretty box

Another box made with the We R Memory Keepers gift box maker. I used some retired DSP and the Tag topper punch to make the band for the bow. The front panel is decorated using the Window Frames framelits and Stippled Blossoms stamp set.

The tag was cut using a Papertrey Ink die and backed with Old Olive card. It was decorated with the Stippled Blossom stamp set again. Ribbon from Stash, twine from the Twinery.

All items used are from Stampin' Up! unless noted.

Mostly White

I have entered this card for the Festive Friday challenge No 36. The challenge is to make a Christmas card that is mostly white. Here is my card.

The card below is one I made to enter the Merry Monday Challenge using sequins. I didn't get around to photographing it and uploading it in time. I finally got around to it yesterday whilst photographing the one above so I thought I would share it.

Just Add Ink sketch challenge

Sketch challenge 223

I am going through a bit of a "Christmas in July" phase at the moment, so I thought I would use the sketch for a festive card. I am pretty happy with the actual sketch part of this card, but how to mount it and background had me stumped for ages. I tried SU starburst framelits in gold and silver mirror card, a scalloped circle in white glitter but none of it seemed quite right. Then I found a doily that was just a bit bigger than the image which I am happier with.

Merry Monday 116

This week the challenge is white and green.

I have die cut a large foliage image from green card, cut the image again in white glitter card and inserted it in the green. Next, I mounted this on a thin mat of silver, stamped my sentiment and then adhered it to my card. To finish off, I have added some large white sequins and gems with a greeny hue.

I found this card difficult to photograph as I kept getting the shadow of my hand with the camera reflected in the silver mat.

Glitter and Shine

Here is another card I made for Merry Monday challenge 114 but rejected in favour of the gold snowflake.

I am now on a break from work for a week, so I am hoping to catch up with some of my much neglected scrapbooking. With the advent of Project life/pocket page scrapping I do seem to be getting more photos into albums (still years behind though). I have been scouring Pinterest for inspiration for my next few pages. If I am happy with the results and may even post a few.
