Packaging

I have been a bit quiet on the old blog of late, life just seems to keep getting in the way. Today I have aside some time to get my photos off the camera and onto the computer and then the blog. It was a toss up between that and housework, so you can see what won. Here are some packaging examples I have made recently to hold items purchased by friends from my website, any excuse to create, right!

This bag uses the Harvest berries stamp and die set from Papertrey Ink, with the addition of a flower punch. I originally just stamped it on the bag but the bag was slightly glossy and the ink wasn't drying properly despite using a heat gun so I gave up and used the dies cuts instead.

This bas uses the Fabulous Flourishes stamp set from Papertrey Ink, MFT flourish die, Stampin Up framelits, butterfly stamp and punch. The antenna on the butterfly is from a butterfly die by Memory Box. The sentiment is from a set by Flourishes. Flourish seems to be a recurring theme on this one!

Third and final example for today creating a Papertrey Ink clean sweep, because this item was stamped with their Rosie Posie set. The small white flourish is from their Fabulous Flourishes set. The leaves and wreath are Memory box dies. The Crumb Cake base for the wreath has been cut with a Stampin Up framelit. Last but not least, a fab stamping set just for paper crafters from Woodware.

Thank you card

Here is a thank you card I created with a birthday gift from my good friend Judy. It is a Sizzix/Hero Arts stamps and die combo that I had had my eye on for some time. It stamps beautifully and layers up very easily. I finished the card off with some Stampin Up paper and card.

Pressie packaging

Went out with my good friend Leanne for lunch at Warren Glen in Warrandyte on Friday 15th to celebrate her birthday. This is the wrapping for her presents. On this I have used a Cherry Lynn doily die and Stampin up Stamp and label die. The leaves are Fresh foliage by Memory box available here
This package is layers of tissue paper with the top layer stamped with Daydream medallions by Stampin Up. The large doily is Martha Stewart and the small one MFT. I have used the fresh foliage die again.

Happy Birthday Leanne

I loved creating this bag for my good friend Leanne to give to her on her birthday. I found different ways to use the same doilies to create different patterns by leaving certain pieces in rather than picking them out after die cutting, also laying them to create more effects.
I couldn't resist adding to the doilies with flowers and bling.

The silver embossed Happy Birthday is from Craftwork Cards.
Here is Leanne's card, it doesn't show up well in the photo but the cream card is embossed and the lace addition is very pretty. I happened upon it in a haberdashery store, loved it so much that Leanne's card was designed with it in mind.

More Baby cards

Loved this scrummy paper from Echo Park (Sweet Girl) and couldn't wait to find a reason to use it. The banners were cut using an MFT die set and the little buttons are from DO Crafts. The pretty doilies were a freebee from the front of a magazine but tone in perfectly with these papers. And of course the cards wouldn't be complete without.....yes, a felt jacket. The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink.

Packaging

I had some products to deliver to a friend and created this packaging to hold them. I stamped all over a plain craft bag (buy from Coles in packs of 100) with doily stamps from several sets (mostly Paper TreyIink with a little Stampin Up)
I closed the bag with a large doily and staple and then made a tag to cover the staple. The tag was cut from a Stampin Up die and the stamps used were Paper Trey Ink. The Kraft doily was cut using an MFT die, topped with an SU punch and a bit of bling.
Close up of one of the stamps.
